Licenses & Insurance
Full credentials. Fully transparent. Before you hire any security firm, verify what they carry.
Hiring an unlicensed or underinsured security company exposes your business to significant liability. If an uninsured officer is injured on your property, if an incident occurs during a patrol, or if your vendor isn't licensed by the state โ you could be held responsible. Below are our current active credentials, available for verification upon request.
Active Credentials
Company Licenses & Policies
WA State Security Agency License
Washington State Department of Licensing
Required for any company operating security personnel in Washington State. Apex holds a current, uninterrupted agency license covering all service types.
General Liability Insurance
Commercial General Liability Policy
Covers property damage or bodily injury that occurs during Apex operations at your site. Clients may be named as additional insured on request.
Workers' Compensation
Washington State L&I
Every officer on our roster is covered before they step foot on your property. You bear no workers' comp liability for Apex personnel.
Commercial Auto โ Patrol Fleet
Commercial Vehicle Insurance
All Apex patrol vehicles carry commercial auto insurance. Personal auto policies don't cover security patrol use โ ours do.
Individual Officers
Officer Certifications
Every Apex officer must hold or complete all required certifications before their first assignment. Certifications are tracked internally and renewed on schedule. Client-facing certification summaries are available for any officer assigned to your site.
Why This Protects You
Officer Injury on Your Property
If an unlicensed vendor's officer is injured at your site and they carry no workers' comp, your business may be liable. Apex's L&I coverage removes that risk entirely.
Incidents During Patrol
If an Apex officer causes property damage or is involved in an incident during patrol, our $1M general liability policy responds โ not your insurance.
Regulatory Compliance
Washington State requires all security companies to be licensed under RCW 18.170. Using an unlicensed vendor can expose your business to compliance violations and contract disputes.
